Appeal dismissed. Rubiales goes to trial for non-consensual kiss

The Criminal Chamber of the National High Court has rejected the appeals filed by Luis Rubiales and the former president of the Royal Spanish Football Federation will be tried for the controversial non-consensual kiss to Jenni Hermoso, after the Women's World Cup final, on August 20, 2023, reveals the Spanish press this Monday.

It should be recalled that the Spanish Public Prosecutor's Office requested a sentence of two and a half years in prison for Luis Rubiales, alleging a crime of sexual abuse and coercion due to the case of the non-consensual kiss to Jenni Hermoso.

The Public Prosecutor's Office will also have made a special request in the sports field, arguing that a measure be applied that prevents Rubiales from communicating with Jenni Hermoso and from approaching the Spanish player within a radius of 200 meters for four years.
