William Carvalho and Rui Silva surpass Portuguese duo in European battle

Real Betis made a move in the race for a European place in La Liga on Saturday, after beating Valencia (1-2), in a duel between Portuguese players.

With Rui Silva in goal, the Andalusian team took the lead in the 19th minute, through Ayoze Pérez, preceding a reaction from the opponent that only came in the second half.

Valencia, with André Almeida and Thierry Correia in the starting eleven, managed to equalise with a penalty converted by Pepelu, ex-Vitória SC, in the 66th minute, but the truth is that Pérez would end up scoring again (77'), making the final score 1-2, before William Carvalho came on in the final moments.

With this result, Valencia drops to eighth place, with 47 points, while Real Betis is seventh, in the European zone, with 48.
