Italy secures five teams in the next edition of the Champions League

The next season of the Champions League will be more transalpine, as Italy will have five representatives in the new season.

Given the performance of Italian teams in European competitions this season, Italy has mathematically secured one of the top two places in the UEFA ranking this season. This success paves the way for another place in the Champions League via the championship, which rewards the European performance of each country.

The Italians have a coefficient of 19.428 points and surpass Germany in the ranking (17.928 points, with three clubs still in the running for European competitions), while England is third (17.375 points).

AS Roma and Atalanta, it should be recalled, secured their presence in the semi-finals of the Europa League, while in the Conference League, Fiorentina left Plzen behind and will also fight for a place in the final of a European competition.

It should be recalled that the Champions League will have 36 clubs from next season.
