AS Roma and AC Milan will play each other on Thursday for a place in the semi-finals of the Europa League. The team from the Italian capital has the advantage in the tie after winning in Milan by 1-0 in a game in which Rafael Leão was heavily criticised.

In the preview of this game in Rome, Rafael Leão showed himself to be confident for the duel and fired back at the critics.

"We are ready. It is one of the most important games of the season. We are aware of the value of this game. We are confident, we want to play a good game. Roma have a great team, but we are strong and we want to show that. In this type of game, the details will make the difference. They were better in the first game, but we will put more desire and concentration into this second leg. We are not going to look back, we could have done better, but I will do my best to get us through. Let's go and turn the result in our favour," began the Portuguese international.

"I am like that, I learn from my mistakes so as not to make them again. It will be an opportunity to prove that once again, we will try to score early and play until the end. For us, it will be like a final. It is the most important game of the season. We know that we are playing against a good team, but we want to move forward. In the first leg, we made mistakes in the details and they were smarter, we will certainly do better tomorrow," he stressed.

"We will have to play with good anxiety. The atmosphere will be beautiful and it will be important to take the lead from the start. Our goal is to win the Europa League. Criticism is good for growth, I am a young player and I always have to have that pressure that drives me to improve. I have a great coach and Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who is always working alongside us. We are prepared for this game. After a defeat, the first few days are always difficult, but that's the way it is," he concluded.
