Cristiano Ronaldo beats Juventus in court and will receive compensation
Italian club ordered to pay almost 10 million euros to the Portuguese star, for wages related to the Covid-19 pandemic period, in 2020.

Juventus were ordered to pay Cristiano Ronaldo compensation for unpaid wages during the Covid-19 pandemic on Wednesday. The decision by three judges ruled in favor of CR7, who will now receive a total of €9.7 million plus interest, an amount that is, however, about half of what the Portuguese player was claiming.
The Portuguese international, it should be recalled, demanded to be compensated €19 million, an amount he waived during the Covid-19 pandemic, on the promise that he would be paid later, in order to help the Vecchia Signora overcome what was one of the most delicate moments in its history.
However, according to information published on Tuesday by the Italian newspaper Tuttosport, the Bianconeri leaders were convinced that they would eventually manage to leave the now Al Nassr player empty-handed.
Firstly, because they claimed that, at the time, the 39-year-old player refused to sign any type of document proving an understanding between the two parties regarding a postponement of salaries, so there is no evidence of it.
Secondly, because, when he left for Manchester United in the summer of 2021, he himself signed another article. In this case, stating that the termination of the contract would take place without dispute... because there were no debts to be settled.
