CD ignores appeals and maintains fines for Sporting and FC Porto

The Disciplinary Council of the Portuguese Football Federation announced, in the form of a communique issued through official platforms early on Tuesday afternoon, that it considered the appeals submitted by Sporting and FC Porto to be unfounded.

In the case of the Lions, they were complaining about the fine that was applied to them, in the amount of 3,190 euros, due to the improper use of the "stadium's sound system to sing the incentive chant 'Sporting Allez!'", during the rout applied to Boavista, by 6-1, on March 17, in a game counting towards the 26th round of the I League.

As for the Dragons, they sought to overturn the fine of 9,180 euros to which they were subjected, for having been considered guilty of an act of "injury to the honour and reputation of the bodies of the sports structure and its members".

In both processes, the "disciplinary decision appealed was confirmed", so the eternal rivals will have to face the sanctions to which they were sentenced.
