"In many matches in which we didn't win points, the team had the right attitude. There are specific mistakes that have cost us points, and that's why I always call for concentration. May tomorrow [Sunday] be an afternoon of accuracy, of organisation, in which we don't commit fatal sins, which are the ones that have harmed us the most", stated Paulo Sérgio, in statements sent to the media by the Algarve club.

Portimonense is on an eight-match winless streak in the I League, a period in which it only added two points, with its last victory dating back to 28 January, on Boavista's pitch (4-1).

On Sunday, the Algarve team, which occupies 16th place, in the maintenance play-off, will travel to the stronghold of Desportivo de Chaves, 18th and last place, in a duel of 'afflicted' teams between the two teams with the most goals conceded in the championship.

"They are two teams that are not doing well in the standings, that will try to do everything to achieve their goals", anticipated the 'black and white' coach, looking "with concern" at the negative record of goals conceded.

Paulo Sérgio stressed that his team's obligation "is to give everything" to "reap the rewards" of its performance at the end of the 90 minutes, expecting the "usual difficulties" against a team "very well guided by Moreno".

"It will be an afternoon of hard work, but we have to put our courage and determination into it", he added.

The Portimonense coach "took his hat off to the group" for always taking to the pitch "with determination".

"We have fallen many times during the season, but we have always had the strength to get up, work and go back into the fray. That's what we're going to do until the end, in an attempt to be the ones left standing", declared Paulo Sérgio.

Desportivo de Chaves, 18th and last place, with 19 points, and Portimonense, 16th, with 23, will face each other on Sunday, at 3:30 pm, at the Estádio Municipal Engenheiro Manuel Branco Teixeira, in Chaves, refereed by André Narciso, from the Setúbal Football Association.
