GNR rescues fox that was found injured by a civilian in Sabugal

The National Republican Guard (GNR), through the Nature and Environment Protection Service (SEPNA) of the Guard, collected a weakened fox (Vulpes vulpes) in the locality of Sabugal on May 10.
In a note released this Monday, the security force explains that it was contacted by "a citizen who found the injured animal".
Thus, the Guard's military "collected the specimen" and carried out "the transport and delivery of the fox" to the Wildlife Recovery Center (CERVAS) in Gouveia, "for monitoring its health status, recovery and subsequent release into its natural habitat".
The GNR recalls that, through SEPNA, "it is concerned with environmental protection and animals on a daily basis". To this end, the SOS Environment and Territory Line (808 200 520) may be used, operating permanently to report offenses or clarify doubts.
