Two minors, aged 16 and 17, were charged on Friday by the National Republican Guard (GNR) for illegal possession of prohibited weapons, in Gondomar.

In a statement sent to newsrooms this Saturday, the GNR indicated that the investigation had been going on for a month and that the military "initiated a set of police inquiries that allowed them to identify five young people, aged between 15 and 17, who were displaying various prohibited weapons in public, such as knuckle dusters and extendable batons".

The authority carried out two house searches that allowed them to seize a shotgun, 27 cartridges and a bladed weapon.

The young people over the age of 16 were charged and the facts were reported to the Gondomar Judicial Court.
