Attorney General of Guinea-Bissau arrested in Lisbon for alleged drug trafficking
A prosecutor from Guinea-Bissau was arrested for alleged drug trafficking upon arriving in Lisbon on a flight from Bissau, the country's Public Prosecutor's Office announced today in a note sent to Lusa.

The Public Relations Office of the Guinean Public Prosecutor's Office does not mention the name of the person concerned, only stating that it was informed "through appropriate channels" on Sunday, the 21st, of the "arrest of a magistrate for alleged drug trafficking".
"The next step was that the management of the Public Prosecutor's Office summoned and held a meeting with the deputy attorneys general, informing them of the imprisonment of the magistrate in question, in Lisbon", it added.
The Public Prosecutor's Office stated that it is following the case and awaiting further information and, if "the alleged crime is confirmed", promises to hold the magistrate criminally and disciplinarily responsible.
