Caught in Lisbon, pickpocket trio already known in Switzerland and France
The trio is also known to the authorities in the Netherlands. They had recently arrived in Lisbon to commit thefts.

On April 17, the Public Security Police (PSP) arrested three men, aged between 37 and 42, in the parish of Santa Maria Maior, in Lisbon, on suspicion of committing the crime of theft.
The PSP explained, in a statement released this Monday, that this trio had "recently arrived in Portugal and in the city of Lisbon, during a time of high tourist flow to commit thefts".
The group, which operated in the Alfama area, "acted in a concerted manner, which consisted of selecting victims who visited the area and strolled relaxed, following them and cunningly stealing their items, without them noticing".
The suspects were located and arrested after "stealing the wallet, with money and all its documents, from inside the backpack that a tourist was carrying on his back".
"All belongings were recovered and handed over to their rightful owner, who did not notice the theft", informs the same note.
According to the PSP, this trio "was already known to the Swiss, French and Dutch authorities, and two of them had already been arrested in those countries for similar crimes".
Presented in court, the men were notified for trial at a later date.
