"It was a very positive meeting. The Minister [of Health] and the entire ministerial team showed openness to listen to the orders, to take into consideration the concerns of the professional orders", Hélder Mota Filipe told reporters after leaving a meeting at the Ministry of Health.
According to Hélder Mota Filipe, today's meeting with Ana Paula Martins also allowed for "discussing a set of aspects related to the development of the medicine area, from the "pharma industry's point of view, but also from the guarantee of access to health care and pharmaceutical care in particular".
"It is essential that the Ministry [of Health] and the Government take into consideration the degradation that has been happening from the point of view of conditions, both from the point of view of salary, career progression, but also from the operating conditions of the services themselves and the conditions given to professionals to adequately perform their duties. It seemed to us that there was openness to discuss this aspect in depth", he stressed.
Today, the team from the Ministry of Health begins a set of meetings with the professional orders of the sector, in a week also marked by the start of negotiations with the unions.
