Hezbollah launches missile and drone attack on southern Israel
Hezbollah launched an air operation today, with guided missiles and drones, against military positions in northern Israel, in response to an Israeli attack against southern Lebanon, reports the Efe agency.

In a statement, the Lebanese Shiite group said it launched "a complex air operation with assault drones and guided missiles" against a headquarters in Manara, northern Israel, and "against positions of the 51st battalion, belonging to the Golani Brigade", which suffered "direct hits".
Hezbollah added that this action was "in response to the enemy attacks against cities and civilian homes, especially in the municipalities of Kfar Kila and Kfar Shuba" in southern Lebanon
In the same vein, it also reported the death of two of its fighters in the Lebanese cities of Kfar Kila and Khiam, while the Lebanese National News Agency (ANN) reported the death of a civilian in an Israeli attack against the city of Kfar Shuba.
The Lebanese group also claimed responsibility for two more operations against northern Israel, in which it will have used rockets.
These attacks come a day after Hezbollah launched "dozens" of rockets against a military headquarters in northern Israel, in response to a bombing that killed two commanders of the Sunni group Jamaa al Islamiya, in southern Lebanon.
Since October last year, Hezbollah and Israel have been involved in an intense crossfire, following the war in the Gaza Strip.
