Norwegian Air Shuttle narrows loss in first quarter
Norwegian Air Shuttle reported a loss of 904 million Norwegian crowns (around 77 million euros) in the first quarter, a 9% drop compared to the same period last year, it was announced today.

The net operating loss was 763 million Norwegian kroner (€65 million), a 17% decrease.
In recent years, Norwegian has been going through financial problems, which were aggravated in 2019 by the temporary flight ban on the Boeing 737 MAX aircraft and, later, by the Covid-19 pandemic.
In turn, revenue grew by 55% to 6,114 million Norwegian kroner (€524 million) in the period under analysis.
Norwegian's net financial debt worsened by 42% to 5,810 million Norwegian kroner (€496 million).
In the first quarter, the company transported 4.8 million passengers, which represents a 4% growth compared to the previous year.
In 2021, the airline completed a double restructuring process in Ireland and Norway.
