Algarve Tourism Region approves accounts with a balance of 991 thousand euros
The General Assembly of the Algarve Tourism Region (RTA) unanimously approved, on Monday, the accounts for 2023, which reveal a positive balance of 991 thousand euros, it was announced today.

In a statement, the president of RTA, André Gomes, quoted in the document, says that the "approval of accounts by the General Assembly demonstrates the recognition and appreciation of the actions carried out by the entity throughout 2023".
The leader highlights that the positive result "demonstrates rigorous and efficient financial management of resources, despite the budgetary constraints imposed on regional tourism entities".
According to RTA, the management report offers a detailed analysis of the financial and budgetary execution of 2023, highlighting the legal certification of the accounts, the positive equity situation and the control of personnel costs.
"Its approval reflects RTA's commitment to aligning itself with the strategic benchmarks defined for national tourism", he points out.
The General Assembly states that it also approved the activity report "which covered a set of actions aimed at consolidating the growth of tourism in the region, with a focus on diversifying the offer, promoting sustainability and valuing the cultural and natural heritage of the Algarve".
The activities carried out last year include the promotion of 40 promotional actions for the destination, 11 discussion sessions, participation in 40 projects and support for 180 events and more than 330 entrepreneurs.
In 2023, he adds, 1,700 publications were also made on promotional and informative 'online' channels and 380,000 visitors were attended to in the network of tourist offices.
"The results obtained demonstrate sustainable regional growth in the main indicators, with the results exceeding the final values of 2022, and emphasizing the desired recovery, in line with the rest of the territory", concludes the document.
