On Tuesday, Pinto da Costa presided over the ceremony to deliver FC Porto's 19th Roller Hockey Portuguese Cup to the club's museum. Alongside the technical team and players, the incumbent president congratulated "a fantastic group" and guaranteed that he would continue to closely follow the sport even after leaving office.

"My first words are of congratulations to a fantastic group that won the Portuguese Cup. I was thrilled with your victory. My first time at FC Porto, in 1962, was in roller hockey and there I met great players, great coaches, and many people who passionately loved the section and the club. At a time like this, I cannot fail to mention Mr. Ilídio Pinto, the great driving force behind a great section that we still have today," began Pinto da Costa, in statements to FC Porto's official channels, continuing.

"Fortunately, it is still during my term that this cup enters the FC Porto Museum, I am very happy about that and I hope it is not the last one I receive, because I hope that volleyball will still be champion with me as president. It is very meaningful for me to be here with you. When I leave this position, I will not see you less, I will see you more because I will have more time and fewer worries. Tomorrow I will be at the pavilion to support you against Óquei de Barcelos, in an important game, and I will always be with you. I urge you to continue to be yourselves, to be victorious and great FC Porto athletes," stressed the president who will soon pass the baton to André Villas-Boas.
