Liverpool may have bid farewell to the English Premier League title race once and for all this Saturday, as after losing 2-0 to Everton, they could only manage a 2-2 draw against West Ham.

The match started in the worst possible way for the team of Portuguese international Diogo Jota (who was again not called up as he continues to recover from injury), who found themselves at a disadvantage on the brink of the half-time whistle, thanks to a well-aimed header by Jarrod Bowen.

The 'turnaround' would end up happening in the second half. At 48 minutes, Andy Robertson scored, assisted by Luis Díaz, former FC Porto player, and at 65 minutes, Tomas Soucek. When all seemed settled, Michail Antonio scored and sealed the final result.

With this result, Liverpool now have 75 points, which leaves them in third place in the Premier League, two points behind the leader Arsenal (who are yet to visit Tottenham), and one behind second-placed Manchester City (who have two games less).

West Ham, on the other hand, are eighth, with 49 points won after 35 rounds, which greatly complicates their chances of qualifying for European competitions next season.
