Official: Luis Rubiales' 'right arm' is the new president of the RFEF

The Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) announced, in the form of a statement issued through official platforms at the end of the morning this Friday, that Pedro Rocha was proclaimed as the new president of the organization.
The leader was the only name to present himself for votes, after having collected the more than 100 endorsements required by law to run, so he will occupy, in this way, the place that, until September 2023, belonged to Luis Rubiales, who resigned, due to the controversy surrounding the non-consensual kiss to Jenni Rubiales.
An election rich in controversy, since, precisely two weeks ago, Pedro Rocha was declared a defendant in the so-called 'Brody case', a process that investigates suspicions of alleged financial irregularities in contracts signed in the last five years.
The new president of the RFEF already knows, however, that this will be a short term, since, as part of the government's supervision of the organization, it will have to call elections later this year, initially, right after the conclusion of the Olympic Games.
