Ralf Rangnick confirms: "Bayern Munich contacted me"
The Austrian coach, however, stresses that, for now, he is "completely focused on the European Championship".

Ralf Rangnick gave an extensive interview to the Austrian portal 90minuten on Wednesday, in which he confirmed that he had been contacted by Bayern Munich with a view to succeeding Thomas Tuchel, who is leaving at the end of the current season.
"Bayern Munich contacted us, and I also informed the OFB [Austrian Football Federation] about it. We have a very trusting relationship. My focus is on the Austrian national team. We are fully focused on the European Championship. I feel very comfortable here," he began by saying.
"At the moment, there is no reason to deal with this intensively and specifically (...). We want to take care of the team in the best possible way and have the best possible results. I have a very close and trusting relationship with my team," he added.
The former Manchester United coach has a contract valid until June 2026, but refused to 'open the book' on the near future: "If I want to do something different, first of all, I will talk to the OFB".
