José Mourinho gave a long interview to the Telegraph on Monday, in which he criticized the Manchester United board, assuring that he did not have the same type of "support" that Erik ten Hag currently has.

"My relationship with Ed Woodward [former manager] was good. Good from a personal point of view. He still sends me messages today. But from a professional point of view it was not the best. I am who I am. I am a football man. Ed comes from a different background and what Ten Hag has had, I have not had," Mourinho began by saying, continuing.

"I did not have this level of support. I did not have this type of confidence. So I left sad. I felt that if they trusted me and my experience I could have done something different. There are still some players there that I didn't want to have five or six years ago. I think they represent a little bit of what I don't consider to be the best professionalism for a club of a certain dimension. But I did my job there. Time always tells the truth. I would love Manchester United to be successful," explained the Portuguese coach.

It is recalled that Mourinho was in charge of Manchester United for two and a half seasons, having won the English Super Cup, the English League Cup and the Europa League.
