After two consecutive slips in the race for the Premier League lead, Liverpool returned to winning ways on Sunday, beating Fulham (1-3) at Craven Cottage, in a match in which Diogo Jota returned to scoring goals and 'tricked' Marco Silva and João Palhinha. The Reds are now level on points with Arsenal at the top of the table, awaiting the outcome of Manchester City's match, who have played one game less.

The former Sporting midfielder was booked just after the half-hour mark and probably could not have imagined that, moments later, Alexander-Arnold would open the scoring with a free-kick in the 32nd minute, breaking the deadlock in London. However, before the break, Castagne appeared in the right place to equalise in the 45+2nd minute.

In the second half, Gravenberch put Klopp's team (recently eliminated by Atalanta in the Europa League) back in front in the 53rd minute, followed by Diogo Jota's return to goalscoring form, more than two months later, after an injury, in the 72nd minute.

With this result, Liverpool now have the same 74 points as Arsenal at the top of the Premier League, while Manchester City follow close behind with 73 points, having played one game less. Fulham are in 12th place with 42 points.
