AS Roma eye Europa and 'slam' Serie A decision: "A clear step backwards"
The team of the Portuguese players Rui Patrício, Renato Sanches and João Costa will have to enter the field three times in the space of eight days.

Serie A announced this Friday that Udinese-AS Roma (interrupted at 71 minutes because Ndicka felt unwell) will be resumed on April 25th, which did not please the club where the Portuguese Rui Patrício, Renato Sanches and João Costa play, given the proximity of the 'semi-finals' of the Europa League, against Bayer Leverkusen, reacting promptly in a statement.
"AS Roma, with its European results and four consecutive semi-finals, contributed to UEFA's ranking and, therefore, to the fifth place of Italian teams in the next Champions League like few other clubs. Despite this, the president of Lega Serie A, Lorenzo Casini, today approved an unfair decision that will force Roma to face Bayer 04 Leverkusen at a disadvantage. This represents a clear setback for the entire Italian football system", began by explaining the emblem of the Italian capital.
"The team, the players and the staff of AS Roma reaffirm their commitment to resist this unjustified adversity and to achieve, with the support of their incredible fans, their maximum goals this season", concluded AS Roma.
It should be noted that, given the calendar of José Mourinho's former team, AS Roma will enter the field to complete the approximately 20 minutes missing in the duel of the 32nd round, next Thursday (April 25th), followed by the duel against Napoli, scheduled for Saturday (April 27th), and only then the first leg of the 'semi-finals' of the Europa League, against Bayer Leverkusen, German champion, on May 2nd.
