Mesut Ozil believes Real Madrid are "favourites" for El Clasico

The Santiago Bernabéu will be the stage, next Sunday, from 8 pm (Continental Portugal time), of the long-awaited El Clásico of the 32nd round of La Liga, which will put Barcelona and Real Madrid face to face.

Mesut Ozil played for the meringues between 2010 and 2013, and said he has no doubt that Carlo Ancelotti's men will reach the duel with their eternal rival as "favorites". In addition, he took the opportunity to point out the attitude that the Catalans have been assuming this season.

"Barcelona is fighting, it is trying. They have good players in all positions, but they have had too many injuries this season, and perhaps they should focus a little more on themselves and their mistakes, and not always complain about the referees", he said.

"That doesn't help. Real Madrid is having a fantastic season. I didn't expect that to happen after Karim [Benzema] left the club, but they are doing very well", he added, in an interview with the Spanish newspaper Marca.
