Bayer Leverkusen's unprecedented title of German champion, won last Sunday, after thrashing Werder Bremen (5-0), was also marked by a joke promoted by the pharmaceutical fans, when they 'baptized' one of the streets next to the Bay Arena as "Xabi Alonso Street", emphasizing the importance of the Spanish coach for the historic milestone at the club.

The truth is that the joke made on the day of the celebrations - with the sign 'Xabi Alonso Allee' on the aforementioned street - could very well become a reality, as the newspaper Spiegel writes, since the local authority is considering changing the name of the place.

"We are evaluating the conditions that are required for an official designation. We have to talk, think and discuss it internally, also because it is something that will naturally captivate more people," said Stefan Hebbel, one of the representatives in the Leverkusen City Council.
