Pedro Caixinha downplays Bragantino's draw: "I never ask for results"

Bragantino entered this Sunday with the 'wrong foot' in the 2023/24 season of the main echelon of Brazilian football, having not been able to go beyond a two-ball draw against Fluminense, in the trip to Maracanã.

Lima broke the tie, on the verge of the whistle for the interval, with Eduardo Sasha and Thiago Borboas consummating the turnaround, already in the second half, in the space of just five minutes. It was then that, at 68 minutes, Lima scored again and sealed the final result. An outcome to which Pedro Caixinha did not give great importance.

"We are very satisfied with the courage of our team. They ran over us on Wednesday [defeat with Racing Club, by 3-0] and we needed to give this response", he began by stating, in statements reproduced by the canary portal Globoesporte.

"Fluminense is a very intelligent team, we had to suffer a lot to enter the game. Going to the locker room losing, with the courage we were having and with the way we were playing, was unacceptable", he continued.

"I said this to the group, along with the changes we had to make to send the team forward, in our own way. I never ask for results, but for a competitive attitude", completed the Portuguese coach.
