Palhinha 'approves' Rúben Amorim: "Great option to replace Klopp"

João Palhinha gave an extensive interview to this Sunday's edition of the British newspaper Daily Mail, in which he said he believes that Sporting's coach, Rúben Amorim, is prepared to take over as Liverpool manager.

"If he signs for Liverpool, I have no doubt that people will like his personality. I can believe that he is a great option to replace Jurgen Klopp, but we don't know what will happen", started by saying the Fulham player, who worked with his compatriot at Sporting and Sporting de Braga.

"He will reach a higher point in his career, at some point. You can't fully compare Sporting to a world-class club like Liverpool, but there is also a lot of pressure on the coach to fight for titles. He is used to dealing with that", he continued.

"If I had to compare his teams with someone else's, it would be this season's Bayer Leverkusen, because of the way they want to have the ball and manage it. If he goes to Liverpool, it will be a new challenge, but their players are adaptable, and his methods are good", he added.
