"We are always looking to improve aspects where we are not so good"

"The focus has always been the same every week, since the beginning of the championship: always looking to improve the aspects where we are not doing so well, and always seeking to perfect and improve those that we are doing well", said Paulo Sérgio, in statements released by the Algarve club.

Therefore, after the victory of the last round in Chaves (3-2), which ended a sequence of eight games without victories in the championship, this week of work was "the same as the others, of focus and a lot of concentration on the work".

"The preparation is always trying to address all the defects, because despite the victory we made some mistakes again. It is always a work very focused on our previous performance to try to improve in the next one", reinforced the coach.

In each week, he continued, "even what is well done is repeated, it is analysed again, as well as the concern about the errors made never disappears".

The two turnarounds on the scoreboard in the triumph against the Flavienses team showed that Portimonense "never turns its back on the fight, honours with effort the emblem it carries", although "many times it has not done so with the best of qualities", admitted Paulo Sérgio.

Regarding Sunday's opponent, the coach of the 'black and whites' considered Casa Pia "a competent, compact, mature team, with players with a lot of experience".

"This is visible in the matches, it is a team that does not have great oscillations, because it actually has several players with a lot of experience and a lot of experience. (...) It is a very well-organised team collectively, and which has individual units that can unbalance a match when it is more monotonous", he analysed.

Portimonense, 16th classified, with 26 points, and Casa Pia, ninth, with 31, will face each other on Sunday, at 6 pm, at the Estádio Municipal de Portimão, with refereeing by Tiago Martins, from the Lisbon association.
