Luis Garcia said he believes Ruben Amorim would be a good option to succeed Jurgen Klopp as Liverpool manager on Friday. Speaking on CBS Sports, the former Spain forward, who made 121 appearances for the Reds, admitted he has crossed paths with the Portuguese coach before and was full of praise.

"I had the chance to meet Ruben Amorim in a coaching course that we did together and I can say that he's very honest and professional. To this day he has already proven that," Luis Garcia said, as quoted by the Mirror.

"In my opinion, he's a fantastic young manager who can bring something different with a similar style to what Klopp has shown in the last 10 years. So why not? He has the experience of playing in European competitions and has already won trophies in Portugal. For me, he's a fantastic candidate for the future of Liverpool," the former Spain forward added.
