Eric Dier 'hints' to Southgate: "He should be part of the national team"

Eric Dier gave an extensive interview to the podcast 'The Overlap' on Monday, from the British television station Sky Sports, in which he took the opportunity to send a clear 'message' to the English coach, Gareth Southgate.

"Since the World Cup, I would say that I have not had any loss of form. I have been playing the best football of my career since [Antonio] Conte arrived [at Tottenham, in 2021], and I have been following up, since then", began by stating the player, who, in January, moved to Bayern Munich.

"People think I'm 37, or something, but I'm 30, and I'm not anywhere near the end of my career. I imagine that this is my highest point (...). I want to be part of the English team, and I think I should be part of it, that I am at that level", he added.

Trained at Sporting, the central defender participated in 11 official matches with the Bavarians' jersey, following a loan that, in the meantime, became a permanent transfer.
