Atlético de Minas Gerais defeated Cruzeiro by 3-1 on Sunday afternoon (7) and silenced the Mineirão to win the fifth consecutive Campeonato Mineiro title.

Mateus Vital scored for Cruzeiro, Renzo Saravia tied, Hulk turned and Scarpa secured the title for Atlético-MG. Two markers played at FC Porto.

The comeback goal came from a penalty marked with the help of the VAR that saw Lucas Silva's hand after a cross from Igor Gomes.

Scarpa's goal, which sealed the Rooster's title, was the midfielder's first since leaving Palmeiras. The most popular signing of the Minas Gerais team in the window, he dribbled past goalkeeper Rafael before sending it to the net.
