FC Porto fell again, on Sunday night, in the championship, when they were defeated by Vitória SC (2-3), in a game of the 28th round of the I League. With possibilities of getting closer to second place, Sérgio Conceição's team had a false start at the Estádio do Dragão and when they managed to wake up, their reaction was interrupted by Pepe's expulsion. Galeno, in the wrong goal, opened the scoring in the 12th minute, with Jota Silva doubling the visitors' advantage in the 33rd minute. It was only before half-time that FC Porto managed to respond. Galeno redeemed himself from having aimed at the wrong goal and reduced the disadvantage in the 44th minute. The blue and white team seemed well on their way to getting to a draw, but the expulsion of Pepe, who suggested a pair of glasses to referee Fábio Veríssimo, took strength from his teammates and ended up dictating a new defeat, the second in a row and the sixth in 28 rounds. Let's go to the protagonists. The figure Jota Silva continues to take firm steps in Portuguese football, at a time when there is already talk of a possible jump to one of the big three at the end of the season. Well, the most recent Portuguese international proved, against FC Porto, that he is decisive in this Vitória, having participated in the two goals scored at the Dragão, although only in the second was it directly. The surprise In the midst of chaos, Francisco Conceição was not afraid to take the ball and try to find solutions to get FC Porto out of yet another problematic situation. He ran from start to finish and tried to serve the colleagues who were in the best position and still helped to defend. It was not his most successful game, but he never stopped fighting. The disappointment Pepe had already done badly in the move of the second goal, for not having managed to stop Jota Silva, and in the second half he mortgaged the chances that remained to FC Porto with an expulsion. He saw a red card for suggesting glasses to the referee, left the dragons reduced to 10 units and took strength from his teammates. The coaches Sérgio Conceição Without Evanilson and Otávio, who served a suspension, Sérgio Conceição called Fábio Cardoso and Namaso to the eleven, but the bet was far from being a success. The center-back did not return after half-time and the English forward was never able to cause problems for Vitória's defense. Still, it is fair to say that Conceição moved well in the second half, having seen the possibility of reaching, at least, a draw being 'sacrificed' by Pepe's expulsion. Álvaro Pacheco Vitória SC was like itself and gave new proof of strength at the Estádio do Dragão. In the second half, the team fell at the exhibition level, also due to accumulated fatigue, but clung tooth and nail to a triumph that had not happened for almost six years. The referee Fábio Veríssimo had a busy night and soon realized that he would have to use the card so as not to let the game derail. Pepe's expulsion was the most debatable decision, but in the moves inside the penalty area (Galeno opening, Taremi closing), he seems to have decided well, not signaling any foul.
