The video platform, whose parent company is ByteDance, is accused by US officials of allowing Beijing to spy on and manipulate its 170 million users in the United States. The ban must now be validated by the Senate.
The House of Representatives is also debating aid programs for Ukraine, Israel and Taiwan.
Lawmakers have already begun voting on this gigantic $95 billion package (nearly 90 billion euros), demanded for months by US President Joe Biden.
If all measures are adopted, they will be quickly analyzed by the Senate, which could begin analyzing the texts as early as Tuesday, indicated the leader of the Democrats in the Senate, Chuck Schumer.
