In addition to participating in the official commemorations of the date on Wednesday, which include the solemn session in the Assembly of the Republic, Luís Montenegro will have, at 1:30 pm, a lunch with 50 young people to celebrate the Carnation Revolution.

According to a source from the Prime Minister's Office, this lunch will include 50 young people from the most varied sectors -- science, culture, sports, PSP, a military couple -- who symbolize the message of "future and hope" that the Government wants to convey in these commemorations of the 50 years of April 25.

Then, at 3:30 pm, the gardens and palace of São Bento will be open to the public, following the tradition of the former Prime Minister António Costa, and there will also be cultural moments.

According to the program, there are scheduled performances by students of the Higher School of Dance of the Polytechnic Institute of Lisbon and, from 4:45 pm, a musical performance by the singer António Zambujo.

The gardens and palace of São Bento close at 6:30 pm and Luís Montenegro will still participate, at the end of the day, in the commemorative session of April 25 with the President of the Republic, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, with the heads of state of Angola, Cape Verde, Guinea-Bissau, Mozambique, São Tomé and Príncipe, African countries with Portuguese as their official language, and East Timor.
