Speaking to Lusa, the president of the Union of Judicial Officers (SFJ), wearing a red carnation on his chest, assumed a special meaning for leading the strike and the demonstration on the eve of the 50th anniversary of the revolution.
António Marçal stressed the expectation that the Government will respond to the demands for the inclusion of the procedural recovery supplement, payment of overtime and filling of the staff.
"It is time for April 25 to reach justice and, above all, for there to be an April 25 for judicial officers. April 25 brought about major changes in the dignity of work and the rights of workers, so it is time, in the 50 years of April 25, for us, judicial officers, to also have the right to our April 25", he said.
And he expressed hope that, "after April 25, on the 26th, the Government will have this intention and openness so that the spirit of April can also be realized in relation" to judicial officers.
