The Metropolitan Command of Lisbon of the PSP (Cometlis) recovered the 20 high-end vehicles that had been stolen at dawn on Monday from a garage in Camarate, in the district of Lisbon, near Lisbon Airport.

According to what the authorities explained to Notícias ao Minuto this Tuesday, the vehicles – of brands such as BMW, Audi, Mercedes, Volvo or Tesla – were located in Sintra, Pontinha and Amadora.

Imitating the art of the film 'Gone in 60 Seconds', (2000), the four suspects managed to enter the premises after breaking down the gate and took all the vehicles between 00:30 and 5:30. Four other cars were damaged and left behind.

According to Cometlis, the premises have 24-hour video surveillance, but the alarm was "deactivated".

Some of the vehicles have already been returned to their owners - it is estimated that two of these cars, together, are valued at 400 thousand euros.

The situation was reported by the manager of the company managing the premises, around 6:30 am, who was alerted by an employee.

The suspects, all men, have not yet been arrested, but the PSP is taking all necessary steps.
