A 20-year-old woman gave birth in the bathroom of a car dealership on Wednesday in the city of Resistencia, Argentina. The newborn was left abandoned at the scene and ended up dying.

The owner of the dealership revealed, in statements to the Argentine press, that the young woman arrived at the scene accompanied by her father and an aunt, with the aim of buying a vehicle. They chose the vehicle and paid for it in cash. In the meantime, the woman reportedly asked to go to the bathroom and it was there that, alone, she gave birth to the baby. Before leaving, she decided to leave it in a drawer where employees usually store cleaning products. Shortly after, the store employees realized what had happened and alerted the authorities. The young woman and the rest of the family were arrested. According to preliminary information, it is believed that the baby was stillborn. The emergency medical services performed resuscitation maneuvers and rushed him to the local hospital, where he was eventually declared dead. The doctors revealed that the child was born very prematurely. The young woman suffered a decompensation after giving birth and had to be hospitalized.
