The Lithuanian Foreign Ministry handed the note of protest to Jmil, after the statements made by the director of the Security Agency of Belarus (KGB), Ivan Tertel, who said on Thursday that the security forces had recently managed to thwart a series of attacks with 'drones' (unmanned aircraft) of combat launched from the territory of Lithuania against infrastructures in Minsk and in the surroundings of the Belarusian capital.

The Lithuanian Army indicated, however, that it was "false information", which "has nothing to do with reality", and urged the Belarusian Government to deny "immediately this type of disinformation".

On the other hand, the Belarusian authorities assured that they continue to work to analyze the situation and provide more details about this type of attacks.
