The Spanish channel RTVE has decided to temporarily suspend the launch of the program 'Supernanny', a format that has also been controversial in Portugal.

The program was going to reach Spanish television, but in its presentation to the media, an image did not go unnoticed by viewers.

The father of a child showed up with a tattoo of the Black Sun, a Nazi symbol.

According to La Marca, María Escario, RTVE's ombudsman, received several complaints pointing out the detail.

“I transmitted in writing to the interim president of the RTVE Corporation, Concepción Cascajosa, my assessment of the content of the program 'Supernanny', presented a few days ago and scheduled to be broadcast on TVE". María Escario stressed that “in this case, I am acting both ex officio and at the request of the complaints received in the Ombudsman's email, a competence conferred on me by the Statute that governs my functions”.

Thus, and according to the EFE agency, at the meeting of the Board of Directors this Tuesday, April 23, the decision was made to stop the promotion of this format until the situation is thoroughly studied. In addition, according to the same sources, Cascajosa received a letter from Elma Saiz, Minister of Youth and Children.

Tattoos have also caused controversy in Portugal

In Portugal, a father's tattoos have also caused controversy. In 2019, it is recalled that Nuno Cláudio Cerejeira, known for being a militant of the neo-Nazi cause and one of those convicted for the episodes of racial violence that led to the death of Alcindo Monteiro, was interviewed on RTP's afternoon program - 'A Nossa Tarde' hosted by Tânia Ribas de Oliveira.

The interview took place on the pretext that Nuno Cláudio Cerejeira had been supported by the Ronald McDonald Children's Foundation after being the father of premature triplets.

The presence of the well-known 'hammerskin' who has a Celtic cross tattooed on his forehead did not go unnoticed and, in addition to being the subject of public debate on social networks, the SOS Racism association publicly condemned the situation, through a statement.
