10-Year-Old Boy Dies of Asthma Attack After Inhaler Fails
Now, the mother asks for more awareness about the condition and care of asthma.

Warren Dowling, just 10, died from an asthma attack after playing on a trampoline with his brother at home. When he reached for his inhaler, it failed to work, and he ended up dying.
The schoolboy, one of seven siblings, was having fun with his brother Cameron in Portsmouth, England, when he turned blue and stopped breathing. The incident happened last year.
According to The Independent, the 10-year-old had been "fine" all day, but started to panic when his inhaler failed to work and died after his father tried desperately to save his life by performing CPR.
"Warren managed his asthma really well, but once or twice a year he would have a really bad asthma attack and would have to go to hospital, which was scary," his mother, Belinda, recalled.
On the night in question, the mother remembers her son asking her for his inhaler. "It didn't seem to be working and he started to panic, then while I was on the phone to an ambulance he went blue and stopped breathing," she said.
"His dad performed CPR until the ambulance arrived and took him to hospital, but there was nothing they could do to save him. Warren was always so happy with a cheeky smile on his face, even when he was being told off," she added.
Belinda is now calling for more awareness of the condition and asthma care. "There has never been enough awareness of asthma, I want everyone to know how serious asthma is and I don't want anyone else to go through what we have. I know Warren would be so happy if his story could help others," she said.
Charity Asthma and Lung UK revealed that "shockingly little has changed" since a landmark review of the condition 10 years ago, which recommended measures to prevent needless deaths.
