Russian deputy defence minister detained over corruption. Putin ‘informed’

Timur Ivanov, Russia's deputy defense minister, was detained on Tuesday on suspicion of taking "bribes." The information was released by the Investigative Committee of Russia, according to the country's state press.
"Russian Deputy Defense Minister Timur Vladimirovich Ivanov was detained on suspicion of committing a crime under Article 290, Part 6 of the Russian Criminal Code (taking bribes)," it reported.
The investigations are still ongoing.
In the meantime, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov revealed that Russian President Vladimir Putin has already been informed of Timur Ivanov's arrest.
"Russian President Vladimir Putin has been informed of the arrest of Deputy Defense Minister Timur Ivanov. Minister [of Defense] Sergey Shoigu was also previously informed," said Peskov, as quoted by the Russian state agency TASS.
