Couple discover 14th-century gargoyle... hidden behind toilet

Tracy and Rory Vorster were cleaning the bathroom of their home when they made a discovery: hidden behind a small door at the back of the toilet was a sinister gargoyle.
According to the Good News Network, experts from Lincoln Cathedral believe the statue is part of a drainage system that dates back to the 14th century.
“I couldn’t believe it,” Rory said, adding: “I shouted for my wife and said, ‘I’ve found something.’”
The couple moved into the house, which is a listed building, on March 1.
“As we don’t own the house, we can’t just knock the wall down. The plan is just to make a feature of it, because it’s quite interesting,” the couple said.
