If you think that a  facial mask is an unnecessary step in your skincare routine, think again. It might be just what your skin needs, especially if you’re constantly facing external stressors, such as city living or constant exposure to screens – and sources of internal tension. This mask protects the skin by giving it a boost of hydration. Not only does it “deeply moisturize the skin”, it does so “in a lasting way”. This mask can be used day or night and “is adapted to the needs of each customer”, assures Givenchy.

Like the other Skin Ressource products, it contains the Beauty Moss Complex that “helps fight skin damage caused by environmental and emotional stress”. This complex, developed by Givenchy laboratories, combines two active ingredients of plant origin. First, the plant moss, derived from biotechnology, which “revives water circulation to ensure perfect hydration of the cells. Known for its fortifying properties, it strengthens the skin barrier and helps maintain the skin’s natural moisture level”, explains the brand.

In turn, the everlasting flower extract “helps soothe and protect the skin from the negative impacts of stress”. The plant, grown in the sunny highlands of an island in Croatia, “is one of the bio diverse signature ingredients that Givenchy is committed to providing with environmental respect”. 

Composed of 97% ingredients of natural origin, the Intense Hydra-Relief Mask formula includes a third ingredient to reinforce its moisturizing power: aloe vera extract. “From biotechnology, it was selected for its ability to capture and retain water in the deepest layers of the epidermis. By activating cellular functionalization, aloe vera extract helps strengthen the skin barrier and protect the skin from dehydration.”

How to use it? It couldn’t be simpler. In the morning, apply a light layer of product to clean skin. Spread the mask evenly, massaging from the center of the face outwards, avoiding the eyes and mouth. Leave on for 10 to 15 minutes. Then, continue with the rest of your beauty routine.

At night, apply a thick layer 15 minutes before going to bed. Spread the product evenly, massaging from the center of the face outwards, avoiding the eyes and mouth. Forming a ‘V’ with your index and middle fingers, place the tips of your fingers on the lower part of your face and move up slowly. Leave the mask on overnight.
