"Rest in Peace Mr. António. One of the main founders of Desportivo Domingos Sávio passed away this morning. A sad day for our club. Many young people were trained by Mr. António Silva, who left many memories", announced the club through social media.

Silas, José Carlos or Valido were other athletes who reached the top of Portuguese football, having started their training at Domingos Sávio, based in Campo de Ourique, and were guided by António Silva.

Today, a mass will take place in the chapel of Manique and on Tuesday there will be a funeral mass at 2:30 pm, followed by the funeral.
