Terry on Villas-Boas' Chelsea spell: "It failed straight away..."
Former Blues captain recalls 'brawl' on plane to Hong Kong

John Terry, English football legend and former Chelsea captain, recalled this Thursday André Villas-Boas' time at Stamford Bridge and revealed an episode on a plane to Hong Kong where the then Portuguese coach would end up "failing immediately".
"When AVB arrived, we went to Hong Kong and we were sat in economy on a 13-hour flight. Then we had a couple of the young lads, like Josh McEachran or Nathaniel Chalobah sat in business class. It was part of AVB’s thing to show that no player was bigger than him and that everyone was the same," Terry began by saying on the 'Up Front With Simon Jordan' podcast, continuing.
"Basically it didn’t sit well with us and I was like: ‘no, we’re not going anywhere until the young lads go back to economy and the first-team players go to business class’. It all kicked off on the plane and AVB came over and was like: ‘what’s going on?’. I said: ‘well, we’re not going anywhere until the young lads move’, and the young lads were like: ‘JT, it’s really uncomfortable’. And I was like: ‘no, it’s not your decision’. In the end, we ended up swapping. He tried to lay down the law on day one and failed immediately. I can assure you that plane wasn’t going anywhere. And if it was, it was going without me, Frank [Lampard] and Didier [Drogba]," explained the former English defender who recently entered the Premier League Hall of Fame.
