The protocol between the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA), the Portuguese Football Federation (FPF) and the Municipal Council of Vila Nova de Gaia will be discussed on Monday, in a meeting of the executive council, according to the proposal to which Lusa had access today.

Located in Pedroso, the Jorge Sampaio Stadium is a sports venue dedicated mainly to the practice of football.

Inaugurated in 2003, this stadium has a capacity of over 8,000 seats.

The 2030 World Cup will be played in Spain, Morocco and Portugal with three opening games in Argentina, Paraguay and Uruguay.

The Monday meeting -- a session that should be marked by the discussion around the 2023 financial report, a financial document presented to journalists on Thursday -- will also have other items such as Gaia's adherence to a clothing recycling program.

At issue is a project to be materialized by the three parishes that constitute the so-called Social Commission Interparish Social Without Borders -- São Félix da Marinha, Grijó and Sermonde and Serzedo and Perosinho -- and Modatex -- Professional Training Center of the Textile Industry, Clothing, Clothing and Woolens.

The idea is that the textile surpluses, coming from the community in general, that these parishes gather in the social stores they have are used to make new clothes, doubling the life cycle of the pieces.

The project includes holding an annual fashion show to showcase the pieces.

Another point that will be under discussion will be a protocol of Gaiurb, a municipal company that manages the housing area, with the Association of Tenants and Condominium Owners of the North of Portugal.

The objective of this protocol is to protect people who need legal assistance related to lease contracts.

On Monday, the adhesion of Vila Nova de Gaia to the Waze for City Program, a partnership with the Waze platform, will also be discussed.

According to the proposal, this partnership has no cost to the Municipality, which will receive information, in real time and anonymously, about incidents and traffic constraints provided by Waze users.

In return, the Municipality will provide information, in real time or previously, on constraints resulting from works, accidents, natural disasters, events, among others.

The objective is that the maps made available on the platform are updated with the information entered by the drivers and the platform's partners.
