Al-Shabab returned to winning ways in the Saudi Arabian championship on Thursday, with a thrashing (5-0) of Abha Club, which leaves Vítor Pereira's team in the middle of the table, already far from the relegation fight.

Just before half-time, Carrasco put the Portuguese coach's team ahead, at 45+1', followed by a one-way second half. Diallo made it 2-0 (56'), saw Carlos Júnior, ex-Santa Clara, score twice in just five minutes (78' and 83'), and, in stoppage time, Carrasco also scored twice, at 90+3'.

With this result, Al-Shabab now has 35 points in ninth place, on par with Damac, Al-Fayha and Pedro Emanuel's Al Khaleej, while Abha is 15th, with 25 points, just one above the waterline.
