Mourinho's former assistant, who crossed paths with the current Spanish coach at Real Madrid, recalls the constant interest in the information that was transmitted to the players.

José Morais, a Portuguese coach currently at Sepahan in Iran, admitted that he always suspected that Xabi Alonso could follow a coaching career when he crossed paths with the former Spanish midfielder at Real Madrid between 2010 and 2013, as José Mourinho's assistant. The experienced Portuguese coach analysed the success of the most recent German champion on Tuesday, saying that the future could involve a return... to the Santiago Bernabéu.
"I can confirm that, in terms of the tactical aspects of preparing for the game, Xabi Alonso was the player who was most interested in seeing and understanding all the information that José Mourinho organised and made available to the players", José Morais began by recalling in statements to his press office, continuing.
"I think that, due to the character and determination that he has and demonstrates in training, he could come to coach Real Madrid. Given the way the team plays, I believe that he knows clearly and resiliently what he wants from the game, both in terms of attacking and defending. As a player, he was aware of how and when to take risks. I believe that as a person, and as a coach, of course, he also knows how to do it", pointed out Mourinho's former assistant, who is currently serving his second season at Sepahan.
