Sporting wins 'heavyweight' competition in the race for Fotis Ioannidis
Fulham and West Ham are the latest clubs to have shown an interest in the Panathinaikos forward.

The summer transfer market opens in just over two months, and Sporting is already active in search of a new solution for the attack front, given the 'harassment' that Viktor Gyokeres has been the target of, by clubs like Arsenal, Chelsea or AC Milan.
Fotis Ioannidis, a 24-year-old player who has been standing out at the service of Panathinaikos, with 21 goals and eight assists after 38 official matches, has been pointed out as one of the names on the table, over the last few weeks. However, the lions will have to face 'heavy' competition.
This is because, according to information conveyed, this Sunday, by the British newspaper The Sun, Fulham (team led by the Portuguese coach Marco Silva) and West Ham have also already shown interest in acquiring the Greek international.
The same publication adds that the Hellenic team will have already, moreover, made it known that it will only admit to giving up the forward (who has also already been associated with Lazio's interest) in exchange for an amount in the order of 15 million pounds (17.5 million euros).
