Daniel Riolo believes that Marseille has a chance of reaching the semi-finals of the Europa League, despite the defeat in the visit to Benfica (1-2), registered on Thursday night, in the game of the 1st leg of the quarter-finals. On the antenna of RMC Sport, this Friday, the French journalist lamented the "low level" of the Marseille players, but recalled that the physical issue could be decisive in the game of the 2nd leg.

"Marseille is terribly poor, except for Aubameyang, who is the only one who hides the mediocrity that surrounds him. In the first half I thought that Marseille would be defeated by 3-0 because Benfica was playing without forcing. When Di María made it 2-0 I said to myself that it could end very badly", Riolo began by saying, continuing.

"But then Benfica completely dropped in intensity and that made them lose control from a tactical point of view. And that's when Marseille came back to life. The French can only win this game in the fight. Not on the tactical side. They don't have a game at the weekend, so they will have time to work on the physical issue. It's the only way for Marseille to turn this around", pointed out the French journalist.

It should be noted that the 2nd leg game, in France, is scheduled for next Thursday, April 18th.
