Klopp talks about Jota and aims for a trophy that Liverpool lacks: "Desperate..."

Jurgen Klopp was present on Wednesday at the press conference prior to Liverpool's match against Atalanta, counting towards the Europa League quarter-finals, where he took the opportunity to address the recovery of Diogo Jota (and others), as well as aiming for the trophy that he has yet to win at Anfield, before his departure, at a time when Rúben Amorim has been strongly linked to his position.
"Obviously we were not rushing them. Trent [Alexander-Arnold] and [Diogo] Jota have been in full training for a couple of weeks now. Yesterday they looked really good. It is always a challenge to reintegrate them, but they are quality players, so they will do it. We will see in the next few days and weeks, but for tomorrow, no decision yet," he began by revealing, in statements quoted in BBC Sport.
"Europa League? It is not relevant to me, personally. Liverpool have already won this trophy. We have already had moments when it didn't even seem like we were going to compete internationally. From the moment we saw the opportunity to enter the Europa League, we were really desperate to achieve something. We are talking about Liverpool, who want to win the competition, but you have to follow all the necessary steps for the great teams in this competition," he added.
